What if Everybody Told the Truth?

This question probed a little deeper. It asked, "What if everybody told the truth ALL THE TIME? What would it be like?" Today's winner is Alena, who pretty much summed up her thoughts rather concisely,

"It would be like a robot".

Other runners up were...

"If everybody told the truth ALL THE TIME I think this world must peaceful. The population are happiness and the importance things is a global warming problems will to clear." - Pookie

"If everybody told the truth all the time I think it's good. The truth is make their life be better. Truthfulness makes us be a friend a long time. The truth it be like a good food. Everybody needed a good food for good health. When they eat only a good food it's make a good life they can stay longer without sadness or suffering." - Kate

"I think that it would be madness. The fact is I believe that no one tells the truth all the time. I have never seen anyone like in this case. I think that anyone who tells the truth all the time, could be crazy. If someone betrayed his girlfriend and then he told the truth, I expect this could cause a break up between them." -Claire (Ex-Taya)

If you had Seven Fingers, what would it be like?

I asked the class, "If you had seven fingers on each hand, what would it look like? Two thumbs? One thumb? What would you do with seven fingers?"

Our winner this week was VERY hard to pick. Leah and I struggled to come up with just one. But we decided on the answer submitted by Pat. She writes,

"If I had seven fingers on my hands they would look like two of three-headed flying birds. I would use them in my typing because it would be faster than typing with five fingers. Otherwise, I'd decorate the added thumbs with gold rings or diamond rings."

There were at least three other great responses. All the rest were still written very well and with lots of creativity! Here were the honorable mentions...

"The first thing that I want to do, if iI have seven fingers, I will cry, cry, and cry and the second thing I will surger it out of my hand. I don't think it's good for seven fingers because I will look strange and I'm sure, I don't like and don't want seven fingers." -Sophia

"If I had seven fingers I think I would like to be a fisherman because the seven fingers can help me to fish and all of aquatic animals. Even though it's very afraid and look like the king kong and I don't have a choice to be the normal people. And I think if I had seven fingers I will be actor who like an abnormal thing. It's will make money for me too much. And I can protect myself by my seven fingers because everybody must to scare me." - Ms. Suwannee Mangsachar (Ray)

"If I had seven fingers on each hand, it would look like an octopus has a tentacles. If I have that I will use seven fingers to draw the picture. I think on my hand has everything if I want as rubber, pencil, paintbrush, colourdish. It is so amazing for everyone and it can help me for make money. I'm sure." - Lisa

Thesaurus Exercise: The Great Escape

Congratulations to the winner, Miss Suwannee Mangsachart (Ray), 4th year English Major! The assignment was to rewrite a paragraph that I wrote rather poorly. So the students were asked to doctor it up and make it better than it was. Honorable mention goes to Sophia and Linda (both 4th year).

As the show started, the music began to play and the elephants walked out into the arena. They did all the malicious tactics that the tourists would expect. They did the hula hoop, stood on buckets, threw darts, painted pictures and play a little football. Then came the part they all were halt for. The part where the elephants walk over the people. As it usually matter, three Farangs wanted to do this part, so they came to outdoor and slumber down in the dust. The biggest elephant knew this was hit time to undertaking.
