Well, this week was poetry! First up was a shot at limericks... here are a few of the best!
Linda was this week's winner, she writes,
"There was a man from Peru,
Who dreamed of eating his shoe,
He awoke with a fright,
In the middle of the night,
And found that his dream had come true."
Then Laura wrote,
"There once was a big brown cat,
He got all round and fat,
That he liked to eat a lot of mice,
Because they tasted so nice,
He don't like to eat a small rat."
Finally, Jassy writes,
"There was a swift centipede, Pete,
Who wanted to run in a meet,
But it took several weeks,
To lace up all his sneaks,
By then Pete was too late to compete!"
The next part of the assignment was an open-range kind of poetry, here are the more interesting entries:
Ray writes,
"Monkey monkey monkey,
They are pretty,
And look naughty,
I see they cries,
Oh... why.. why they look like you."
Then Claire writes,
"Losing all as my breath I can see nothing remains,
Closing your eyes slowly away my mind confuse,
And I stand alone."
Finally Pat writes a Poem entitled "My Mom"...
"So far, how is everything?
So long, we've been separating,
I'm so missing my home and Mom.
Separate too long, when would I come,
Oh my dear Mom, you've ever known?
Since I was you little baby,
Never forget how you concerned me,
Now I am in civilization,
Distance from house, without any fun.
When missing you, my tears pour down,
Want to be back, to make you proud,
And sleep on my dear Mom's lap.
Bury my face in your embrace,
And say to Mom, "I affectionate",
It will be my most happiness,
To be staying in your embrace.
Not to long Mom, I will be back,
Accompanied with my hurting heart,
And throw away the chaotic past,
And throw away sad memory here.
Forget someone whose hear uncleared,
Turn back to home, to Mum, my dear."
